PAXTON – A black man facing charges of cocaine distribution claims Paxton police used racial profiling and bombarded him with traffic tickets to get him to move out of town before his arrest this spring.

Gibson City attorney William J. Dueringer said in a motion filed in Ford County Circuit Court on May 29 that his client, Paul E. Bigham, who listed an address in the 200 block of North Union Street in Paxton, was arrested by Paxton police on eight separate occasions in the last year.
