Former LaBamba worker pleads innocent to taking funds
CHAMPAIGN – Police are continuing to investigate a woman accused of stealing from a Champaign restaurant chain where she worked.
Jean Shaffer, 21, of Mahomet, is due to return to court July 29 for a pretrial hearing on a charge of felony theft between $10,000 and $100,000. She was arraigned and pleaded innocent to the charge June 5.
