Soldiers return from training this month
URBANA – National Guard soldiers from Urbana and Champaign will return from pre-mobilization training at the end of the month.
Sgt. April McLaren said Wednesday that soldiers from both the Urbana and Champaign armories were sent to Fort Chaffee in Arkansas on Saturday as part a 2,700-soldier call-up, the largest in Illinois since World War II.
