No one hurt in cooking fire at Champaign home
CHAMPAIGN – A cooking fire caused an estimated $30,000 to $40,000 damage to a house in Champaign on Thursday.
Champaign fire Deputy Chief Tim Wild said one youth was home at 1313 Frederick St. when a brother came home and saw smoke coming from the eaves. The fire department was called at 3:54 p.m.
