Three board members want annex's sandstone restored
DANVILLE – Three Vermilion County board members expressed their desire to see the Vermilion County Courthouse Annex building restored to its original sandstone exterior, but county officials are moving toward the cheaper option of restoring the stucco slipcover.
Board Member Orick "Corky" Nightlinger, D-District 5, told the county board property committee Monday night that he knows money is a concern, but he likes the sandstone look of the original building. Property committee members John Dreher, D-District 7, and Craig Chambers, R-District 6, agreed with Nightlinger, who is not a property committee member but attended the meeting to express his opinion.
