Man injured in Champaign shooting

A man was injured Thursday evening after being shot in the leg at a Champaign home, police say.

Champaign Police Department spokeswoman Rene Dunn said police were called to a home in the 1200 block of Joanne Lane at 9:38 p.m. The victim was taken to a local hospital but did not appear to have life-threatening injuries, Dunn said.
