House mostly intact after afternoon fire
DANVILLE – No one was home Wednesday afternoon when a fire broke out in a two-story house on Schultz Street on the city's southeast side.
Eva Decorie, 15, was next door when the fire started shortly after 4 p.m. When she ran outside, she saw flames shooting out of the top of the house and a side window on the second story of the house at 39 Schultz St. A neighbor saw the flames first and had called Decorie, who then called 911, and her dad, Rick Decorie, who owns the house.
