Funding added to county budgets to deal with rising costs
CHAMPAIGN – Unexpected costs prompted requests for nearly $500,000 in additional money for the county's public properties fund and the coroner's office.
The Champaign County Board's Finance Committee approved a request Thursday night to add about $394,000 to the public properties budget for gas and electric expenses.
