Plan to buy Danville building could be delayed again
DANVILLE – Earlier this month, Danville aldermen postponed for two weeks a decision to spend $10,000 for an option to buy a downtown apartment building as part of a redevelopment project. The two weeks have passed, but the purchase may not come up at this week's city council meeting.
Mayor Scott Eisenhauer said the proposal to secure an option on John Cunningham's property at 220-222 W. North St. in Danville must be on Tuesday night's agenda because aldermen postponed the item two weeks ago. But the agenda may be changed at the beginning of the meeting, eliminating it.
