Ford County Circuit clerk will leave office on Aug. 31
PAXTON – Ford County Circuit Clerk Kamalen Johnson told trustees at Monday's Ford County Board meeting she will be leaving office Aug. 31.
Johnson announced her intentions a year ago (August 2007) not to seek re-election in order to join her late husband's family insurance business. She said that after recently learning that her 15-year municipal retirement was official as of Sept. 1, she decided to make the move before completing her full term of office which would have run through Nov. 30.
