Burglary case nets six-year term
URBANA – The following Champaign County criminal cases were resolved recently through guilty pleas or sentences:
– Jason Dalton, 29, of the 1700 block of Garden Hills Drive, Champaign, pleaded guilty to burglary and received six years in prison, which he will have to serve after he finishes a five-year sentence he received in September for theft. Dalton admitted that in September 2007, he entered the Meijer store on North Prospect Avenue, Champaign, intending to cash forged checks stolen from a Champaign man.
