State issues permit for Homer sewage treatment plant
HOMER – The village of Homer is one step closer to getting a proposed sewage treatment plant now that the Illinois EPA has issued the required permit.
Mayor David Lucas said the village now has a 30-day public comment period. If no public objection is voiced, the agency will review the village's application for a construction permit. Then bids on the proposed $5 million project could be let.
