Bicyclists ride through Tuscola to honor slain deputy, others
TUSCOLA – The riders were a sight to behold as they crested the hill on U.S. 36 Friday afternoon, a wheeled legion with matching helmets, yellow tops and black bike shorts.
The 25 riders, who covered more than 170 miles since Thursday morning in temperatures hovering around the 90s, were sunburned and sweaty as they honored fallen Douglas County Chief Deputy Tommy K. Martin with those who remember him best.
