New sign-up process for summer cooling grants a success
URBANA – Something was missing outside the Brookens Administrative Center these past two weeks: long lines of angry people.
The Regional Planning Commission adopted a new sign-up process for its $150 summer cooling grants and – with a little help from thunderstorms – avoided the chaos that marked its first go-round last July.
