Bid to replace Vermilion courthouse annex's facade advances
DANVILLE – County officials took the more fiscally conservative route Monday night in recommending that the county spend $200,000 to tear off the facade on the east side of the Vermilion County Courthouse Annex and replace it with a new one.
"It's the best way to solve the issue today," said John Dreher, chairman of the county's property committee, which approved by a 5-0 vote Monday night the low bid from McDowell Builders to repair the failing facade of the annex, which houses several county offices.
