Commitment ordered for Urbana woman who sat outside
URBANA – A Champaign County judge has ordered that a woman who sat outside for 16 consecutive days earlier this month through at least three nights of violent thunderstorms be involuntarily committed to a mental institution.
Judge Heidi Ladd ruled Friday that Jenine Ellison, 42, should receive further treatment at the McFarland Mental Health Center in Springfield.
