Champaign murder suspect arrested in western Chicago
CHAMPAIGN – The suspect in the murder of a Champaign man late Wednesday night is expected to be extradited to Champaign following his arrest Friday night in Chicago.
The Cook County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals, arrested Granville Sanchez Johnson at 3820 W. Lexington St. in Chicago at about 7:40 p.m. Friday without incident, according to a release issued Saturday morning by Champaign police.
