Jury splits verdicts on Champaign man in drug trial
URBANA – A Champaign man who possessed heroin intended for sale last spring faces six to 30 years in prison when sentenced next month.
A Champaign County jury Wednesday deliberated about three hours before convicting Earl Clay of a single count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance but acquitting him of two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
