Handgun incident sends Urbana man to hospital

URBANA – An Urbana man required hospital treatment after being beaten and robbed near his home Wednesday night.

Urbana police Sgt. Dan Morgan said the 46-year-old man was accosted outside his apartment in the 2400 block of Prairie Green about 9:20 p.m. by two men who beat him in the head with a handgun.
