Man faces felony battery charges in Gibson City
PAXTON – A Gibson City man faces felony battery charges for allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend and repeatedly kicking her in the stomach.
Joseph L. Hymon, 26, who lists an address in the 700 block of West State Street in Gibson City, was arraigned Friday in Ford County Circuit Court before Judge Steve Pacey, who appointed attorney Harvey Welch of Urbana to represent Hymon, and scheduled a preliminary hearing for 10:30 a.m. Aug. 25.
