Danville man arrested in July shooting death

DANVILLE – A Danville man was in custody Monday in connection with the July 20 fatal shooting of another local man.

Danville police arrested 26-year-old Alexis J. Brigham, of Danville, for murder at 10:22 p.m. on Sunday in the 700 block of Harmon Ave., according to Public Safety Director Larry Thomason. Brigham could be formally charged with first-degree murder in Vermilion County Circuit Court Monday.
