Criswell named as president, chief exec of Freestar Bank
PONTIAC – Freestar Bank has named Thomas L. Criswell to succeed H. Edward Vogelsinger as president and chief executive officer when Vogelsinger retires Sept. 30.
The Pontiac-based bank, which has five locations in Champaign-Urbana and one in Mahomet, has had a Vogelsinger in a leadership role since it opened in 1934 as Pontiac National Bank. The most recent Vogelsinger said he won't disappear entirely.
