Old Church Road speed limits to change in Savoy Sept. 1
SAVOY – Drivers heading east on Old Church Road from Mattis Avenue will have to put on the brakes starting Sept. 1.
The Savoy Village Board on Wednesday unanimously approved a new set of speed limits: from 55 mph to 45 mph starting at Mattis Avenue to the last house going west in a row of houses on Old Church Road. From that house to Golfview Court, the current 30 mph limit will be raised to 35 mph. And from Golfview Court to Dunlap Avenue, the speed limit will be 30 mph.
