Danville attorney admits helping in filing of false tax return
URBANA – Danville Attorney John P. Wolgamot pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court in Urbana to one count of aiding the filing of a false income tax return.
A sentencing date for Wolgamot, who resigned Wednesday as corporation counsel for the city of Danville, will be scheduled later, according to a release from the United State's Attorney's Office in Springfield.
