Judge rules against Urbana attorney in malpractice suit
URBANA – A Champaign County judge this week ordered an Urbana attorney to repay a former client $3,000 on the grounds that he didn't adequately do his job.
Judge Holly Clemons on Monday found in favor of Patrick Thompson, 39, of Champaign, and against Harvey Welch, a veteran defense attorney, in a small claims case that Thompson filed in June 2007.
