Leaky roof forces evacuation of apartment building residents
URBANA – Temporary shelter was set up by the American Red Cross at an Urbana church after a leaky roof at an apartment building forced evacuation for 32 people.
"We opened a shelter at the Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church," said Becky Heller, shelter manager. "We provide immediate shelter, food and clothing as necessary for victims of emergencies. The church has been absolutely phenomenal."
