Most state road projects will take break during holiday weekend
CHAMPAIGN – Most state road construction will be suspended to help driving conditions this Labor Day weekend.
Beginning at 3 p.m. today, many lanes that have been closed for work were scheduled to be open. This includes the Interstate 74 stretch between Danville and Champaign. Lane restrictions will go back into effect at 12 a.m. Tuesday. Work zone speed limits will remain in effect throughout the weekend.
