Accident kills Piper City man
LaHOGUE – A Piper City man was killed in a single-car accident early today in western Iroquois County.
Iroquois County Coroner Bill Cheatum said Gregory C. Regnier, 60, of Piper City, formerly of Ashkum, was driving west on Illinois 24 at Iroquois County Road 110 East near LaHogue when he lost control and went into the left ditch. The car overturned and Mr. Regnier, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown into the back seat.
