Urbana commission recommends landmark status for house
URBANA – A 119-year-old home near downtown Urbana covered with wide aluminum siding might need quite a bit of renovation, but it retains significant architectural integrity and should be designated as a local historic landmark.
That was the recommendation Wednesday night, in a 4-2 vote, by the Urbana Historic Preservation Commission concerning a house at 508 W. Elm St.
