Danville using literacy grant to hire nine teaching assistants
DANVILLE – Some Danville students will get more help learning how to read this year.
School officials are using a $300,000 Reading Improvement Program grant from the Illinois State Board of Education to hire nine teaching assistants to provide extra instruction and intervention activities at all elementary schools.
