Budget victims applaud action by House
Parks supporters, drug rehab programs and social service agencies applauded – tentatively – this week's legislative action to restore millions of dollars in state budget cuts.
They know Wednesday's House vote is just the first step, as the Senate still must vote on the measures. And they're not sure if Gov. Rod Blagojevich will go along with the proposals or continue to hold back millions more in "reserve."
