Judge orders 5 Urbana teen suspects in attack held
URBANA – Five Urbana teens will remain in the Champaign County Youth Detention Center pending further proceedings on charges of aggravated battery.
The teen males, ranging in ages from 13 to 16, were arrested by Urbana police following an incident in the 600 block of East Glover Street in Urbana late Thursday. Petitions to have the youths declared as delinquent were filed by the Champaign County state's attorney's office Friday. Each of the youths is accused of juvenile aggravated battery, alleging that they struck an Urbana woman.
