Urbana City Council rezones 162 lots to preserve structures
URBANA – City council members voted Monday to downzone 162 properties in east Urbana in a move to prevent developers from tearing down older homes and replacing them with apartments.
The vote was 7-0 in favor of the rezonings, which appeared to enjoy widespread neighborhood support.
