Champaign man sentenced to 50 years for man's murder
URBANA – A Champaign man who admitted his role in the July 2006 murders of a Champaign couple will be almost 85 years old when he's eligible for parole.
Kenneth Sean Kelly, 35, was sentenced Wednesday by Judge Heidi Ladd to 50 years in prison for the murder of Jeremiah Haigh, 58. Kelly pleaded guilty to Mr. Haigh's murder in return for a sentence not to exceed 50 years and dismissal of the charges alleging he also murdered Sue "Chi" Haigh, 66.
