Relative of murder victim won't face charges
URBANA – Champaign County State's Attorney Julia Rietz decided Thursday not to file criminal charges against a murder victim's relative who hit the convicted murderer.
Cory Shackelford, 39, of Chicago left the county jail just before 1 p.m. Thursday after having been arrested about 3 p.m. Wednesday for aggravated battery.
