Man won't face charges for outburst in courtroom
URBANA – Champaign County State's Attorney Julia Rietz decided Thursday not to file any criminal charges against the relative of murder victims who hit the convicted murderer in court.
Cory Shackelford, 39, of Chicago, left the county jail just before 1 p.m. Thursday after having spent the night in jail following his arrest about 3 p.m. Wednesday for aggravated battery.
