Soldier on leave from Iraq killed in motorcycle crash

CHAMPAIGN – A Champaign man died Thursday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle on U.S. 45 near Jones Street in Savoy.

Drew K. McDaniel, 25, was pronounced dead at 3:25 p.m. at the scene of the accident, said Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup.
