Judge: Danville, contractor not liable in stairwell death
DANVILLE – A local judge has determined that the city of Danville and Schomburg and Schomburg Construction had no liability in the death of 17-year-old Charles Christopher Gaston, who was killed on April 4, 2006, when a stairwell in a city parking garage collapsed.
Vermilion County Circuit Court Judge Craig DeArmond entered his decision on Sept. 18.
