Woman files suit over police firing on her house
Lawyers are in the early stages of exchanging information in a lawsuit that stemmed from Torriano Johnson's flight from police.
Ruth Wyman filed the lawsuit in Champaign County Circuit Court in June, seeking money from the city and the officers who exchanged gunfire with Johnson. Wyman filed the suit on behalf of Mildred Davis, whose home Johnson entered as he fled from police.
