42 tickets issued for liquor violations
CHAMPAIGN – Police issued 42 tickets for liquor violations in recent bar checks.
State troopers and Champaign police conducted the joint detail Sept. 27 as part of an ongoing Campus/Tap program aimed at reducing underage drinking in Illinois. The program is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency. The Campus portion focuses on underage drinking among college-age minors. The Tap portion focuses on underage drinking by high school age youths.
