Veterans, newcomers pick up petitions for Danville races

DANVILLE – Although most people are focusing on next month's general election, candidates for Danville City Council are already circulating petitions for the February primary that will lead up to the consolidated election in April.

Municipal, township, school board and other local elected positions will be decided in April 2009, including half the seats on the Danville City Council and the city treasurer's position.
