Rantoul's property taxes may rise if appeals are successful
RANTOUL – If assessed valuation tax appeals filed by four major Rantoul landowners are successful, Rantoul residents could see their village property taxes increase by 2 cents per $100 assessed valuation next year, according to Rantoul Village Comptroller Scot Brandon.
Brandon said the village has received a notification by the Champaign County Board of Review that the owners of South Pointe Commons, Taylor Studios, Combe Laboratories and Eagle Wings are seeking a combined reduction of nearly $3.8 million in the assessed valuation of their properties.
