Rantoul man arraigned on arson charge
URBANA – A Rantoul man charged with setting fire to his girlfriend's home faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
Robert M. Harris, 36, who was living with Stephanie Lientz at 1331 Cypress Lane, was arraigned Thursday on a residential-arson charge accusing him of setting fire to the home on Wednesday. Although the charge is a Class 1 felony, Harris would have to be sentenced as a Class X felon because of his record, according to Assistant State's Attorney Dan Clifton.
