Rejection of tax hampers ambulance service in Villa Grove
VILLA GROVE – Since Douglas County residents defeated a sales tax proposal that would have paid for public safety, Villa Grove Mayor Ron Hunt said it's going to be increasingly hard to provide ambulance service for his town.
A portion of the money generated from the proposed half-cent tax would have been used to fund ambulance services in the county.
