Council candidate emerges from southeast Urbana

URBANA – A neighborhood activist says she plans to run for the Urbana City Council in Ward 7 as a Democrat. And two other Ward 7 residents are considering a city council bid.

Diane Marlin, 55, 2203 Boudreau Circle, said she has taken out a candidacy petition and intends to run in Ward 7, which is in southeast Urbana, mostly south of Florida Avenue between Race Street and Philo Road.
