Greasy rags spark fire in Champaign County satellite jail dryer

URBANA – Greasy rags from the kitchen at the Champaign County satellite jail caused a fire in a dryer there Sunday afternoon.

Staff at the jail at 502 S. Lierman Ave., U, got the fire out with an extinguisher, but Urbana firefighters were called about 3:10 p.m. to get the smoke out.
