Illinois Marathon won't get cost break from Champaign
CHAMPAIGN – The new Illinois Marathon won the enthusiastic support Tuesday of the city council, but it won't be receiving a city subsidy.
The marathon is planned for April 11 and already has 783 entrants, marathon organizer Mark Knutson, president of CasMar Events, told council members.
