Fatal crash in 2007 yields probation term for Gifford woman
URBANA – Melissa Darr said not a day goes by that she doesn't think of Raymundo Vazquez Jr., an 8-year-old boy from Chicago she never knew.
"Knowing I am responsible for the death of Raymundo Vazquez is the cruelest and most horrible pain I have ever suffered," the 43-year-old Gifford woman said, sobbing. "It eats at me day and night. I will never forget or forgive myself for causing this destruction to another family."
