Mahomet fire began near water heater, officials say
MAHOMET – A fire Friday morning that destroyed a mobile home near Mahomet started near a water heater.
Cornbelt Fire Department Dave Parsons said fighters were sent to 499 Richland Drive in Candlewood Estates east of Mahomet at 7:28 a.m. Friday.
