Danville pushing revised vacant building ordinance forward
DANVILLE – City officials are moving forward with a new vacant-building ordinance but have made some revisions after input from aldermen, city officials and property owners.
The proposed ordinance would require owners of vacant buildings, both residential and commercial, to register the structures and submit a plan for either renovation or demolition if the properties are not being marketed for sale, rent or lease.
